St Louis Parish and School in Owensville, OH is having its inaugural Fish Fry this Lenten Season. Local Buzz is this is no ordinary fish fry.
Located just eight miles out of Milford, OH , St Louis Parish is on the Eastern Side of Cincinnati and draws from several rural communities.
Blue Oven Bakery, a 2014 food finalist on Martha Stewart American Made, will feature their scrumptious brioche buns to cradle the delicious fish.
Along with the fresh bakery buns, another local supporter, Old Firehouse Brewery, will be serving what it is noted for.
The idea of a fish fry came from the church community and it has been hands on since its inception. Members have stepped up to volunteer for the various responsibilities and made this event a real community effort.
Serving over 600 meals in the first week, St Louis discovered it needed to be creative in getting people served quickly, while allowing them time to socialize.
Menu items include of course fish , mac and cheese, french fries, hush puppies, and many beverage choices.
The desserts are extra special, made by members of the community, allowing these members to offer its best in sweets to the patrons and watch these mouth watering delicacies find a home.
With a large auditorium handicap access, senior discounts, and family friendly prices the event is designed for fellowship and good cheer. Those that cannot stay are able to participate in the carryout service.
