Kate Hudson has a date with Dane Cook

Kate Hudson is set to star in a romantic comedy with actor and comedian Dane Cook. The film called “Bachelor No. 2” will be directed by Howard Deutch and is set to be filmed in August.

The film is about a man, played by Dane Cook, who is hired by men that have been dumped to take their ex-girlfriends out on horrendous dates which are supposed to convince them to return to their boyfriends. Cook’s character is hired to take out his best friends ex-girlfriend played by Kate Hudson. Plans go awry when Cook’s character falls in love with Hudson’s.

Hudson has starred in other romantic comedies including “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” “You, Me and Dupree,” “Raising Helen,” and “Alex and Emma.” Dane Cook is a comedian and actor. His recent films include “Employee of the Month” and “Mr. Brooks.”

“Bachelor No.2” is due for a 2008 release.
