The Kristan Cole Network of
Lifestyle Homes Worldwide recently donated a new van to Teen Challenge in Phoenix,
Arizona to help them with their daily activities. “As Teen Challenge Arizona approached its 50th
Anniversary, I wanted to find some way to help them continue their
life-changing work by donating a van,” stated Cole. “I’m so grateful to have been able to
contribute something to such a wonderful organization. It does not only help people overcome their
addictions, but gives them the opportunity to start over. Teen Challenge has
turned thousands of lives around, and I hope that the new van will help them
continue their amazing work.”
Teen Challenge is a faith-based organization with centers
all over the country. These centers focus on helping men, women, and
adolescents battle life controlling problems such as addiction. Alongside that,
they teach basic Biblical principles and help graduates of the program in their
“re-entry” into society. They assist in repairing family relationships and
provide assistance with job placement and GED’s. The director at the Phoenix
organization, Jim Moyer, said that the van has been used daily for different
student activities. The van provides transportation for students to and from
church, community outreaches, and presentations. It also helps with different
fundraising activities. “We have four or
five buses and about fifty students,” Moyer revealed. “The next newest van has
over 200,000 miles on it, so this van is very significant to us.” Their next
goal is to obtain an old 1987 school bus so they are able to transport even
more people.
The Kristan Cole Network is very active in community
involvement. They have supported local
charities and non-profit organizations with their time, talents and financial
resources for over 30 years. A portion
of each home sale supports local charities as well as their own non-profit
foundation, Kristan’s Home of Hope.
