Britney Spears “put on hiatus”, album pushed back to 2008
Things keep going down hill for Britney Spears after her stay in rehab. As Spears hopes for a comeback this year plans for the album are pushed back to 2008.
The 25-year-old pop singer was shooting for an album release later this year but her publicist says planning for the album has stopped. Leslie Sloane, Spears rep, told Life & Style magazine, “I put her on hiatus. Brit’s album is pushed until ’08.”
Executives at Jive, her record label, reportedly fear that Spears’ singing career is over. An insider told the magazine: “I’m surprised the album wasn’t pushed back to 2009. Everything’s up in the air with the album right now.”
Meanwhile, Spears reportedly stormed out of a shoot for her new perfume after things didn’t go her way. “She’s not listening to anyone and doing exactly what she wants. But sometimes she doesn’t know best,” a source says.
