Titan’s “Pacman” Jones released on $20,000 bail

Adam “Pacman” Jones, the cornerback of the Tennessee Titans, was released on a $20,000 bail after he surrendered on Friday to face charges in a shooting caused by an argument in a strip club.

Jones is pleading not guilty after he was charged with two felonies of coercion. He is  accused of threatening to kill employees at the Minxx club and biting a bouncer. Jones faces up to 12 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if found guilty.

Jones has reportedly been involved in 11 investigations and has been arrested 6 times but had never been convicted. He is currently wanted for questioning by Atlanta police over a shooting that erupted Monday after a fight in a strip club.

Jones, who was drafted in April 2005, has been suspended for the next NFL season for discipline problems. Titan’s officials say they might reinstate him after the 10th regular season game for good behavior.

Sadia Morrison and Robert Reid, Jones associates also face charges in the strip club fight on Feb.19. Morrison is charged with coercion, felony assault with a deadly weapon, and battery. Reid is charged with coercion because he allegedly attacked a bouncer.

Jones is also wanted for questioning by Las Vegas police over a fight in another strip club that occurred a few days before the shooting. The shooting left the bouncer paralyzed and two other people wounded.

Jones, who has cut off his “distinctive” dreadlocks, is due to return to court in July 23.
