Michael Corporation (NYSE:BKR) has announced that its engineering unit, Michael Baker Jr., Inc. has been presented with a Diamond Honor Award in the Special Projects Category. The award was presented to Michael Baker Jr. during the 2010 Annual Awards Dinner by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania (ACEC/PA). Baker was recognized for its route planning, and bridge and highway engineering to support AREVA NP Inc’s delivery of two steam generators to Three Mile Island Generating Station at Middletown, Pennsylvania. The transport received public and media attention over the 15 day long travel route. AREVA reported having over 28,000 hits to its project website during the transportation period, while over 100 articles were printed, and numerous spectators lined the route on a daily basis.

The Company is a provider of outsourced operations and maintenance services to the energy industry in the Gulf of Mexico. The Company operates through two segments: Engineering and Energy. The Energy segment provides a range of services to operating energy production facilities worldwide.
