Meducation® Integrated with PioneerRx to Improve Medication Adherence

Polyglot Systems, Inc.’s Meducation® software has been integrated with the PioneerRx Pharmacy Management System to allow pharmacists to create and deliver easy-to-follow medication instruction from within their existing workflows.  The joint offering overcomes a problem that has long plagued pharmacists and their patients: confusing medication instructions that undermine proper medication use.

Standard medication instructions are often written at elevated reading levels, printed in small font sizes and available only in English.  Since nearly one out of every three Americans is “low health literate” and struggles to understand their medication instructions, this contributes to the widespread problem of poor medication adherence. 

Meducation improves medication adherence by providing medication instructions that:
  • Are tailored to the patient with his or her unique instructions,
  • Are written at a 5th-to 8th grade reading level,
  • Are available in any of 22 different languages,
  • Use pictures to convey information clearly, and
  • Are augmented by video demonstrations of proper use for certain devices
