The Paris Hilton 23-day tour of L.A. County jails is set to end on Tuesday when the star of “The Simple Life” finishes serving her time for violating probation associated with an alcohol-related driving incident.
Hilton originally reported to the Century Regional Detention Facility on June 3 following a brief appearance at the MTV Movie Awards. By June 7 the hotel heiress was back in her Hollywood Hills home with an electronic bracelet secured around her ankle compliments of Sheriff Lee Baca who credited her early release to a “medical condition.”
Hilton’s early release sparked outrage from city attorneys who demanded the 26-year-old serve her full term in lockup and not in the comfort of her own home. Hilton was then required to appear back in front of Michael T. Sauer, the judge who handed down the original sentence. Incensed by Baca’s decision to release Hilton, Sauer quickly order Paris back to jail to serve her remaining time.
After a brief stint in the Twin Towers medical ward Hilton returned to the Lynwood facility that housed her for her first three days.
Hilton was originally sentenced to 45 days but because of good behavior her time was cut by more than three weeks.
