After graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in business, Caren directed a collectible newspapers gallery in Londen at the Covent Garden Market. When he returned to the U.S. in 1983 be founded the Caren Archive and has been a dealer in historical collectibles ever since. A large portion of the Newseum in Washington DC is the work of Caren's collecting foresight.
