New Site to Launch Exclusive Titanic Model

To commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the historic Titanic, the newly launched Titanic Universe has released a special edition Titanic model for you to own. A technological marvel in its time and the largest peacetime maritime tragedy of all time, the Titanic holds more historical significance than any other vessel. The Titanic model comes fully assembled and is an exact replica of the original White Star Line ship.

The largest passenger vessel of its time, the Titanic was built by the White Star Liner company and was constructed at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. Construction of the ship was funded by American captain of industry J.P. Morgan and the Mercantile Marine Company. Construction began on March 31, 1909. When fully assembled, she measured 88.2 feet long, 92 feet wide, and 59 feet high from water level. The massive ship weighed over 46, 328 tons. Equipped with two steam engines and powered by three propellors, the ship was one of the fastest passenger vessels with a top speed of 26 mph. The Titanic could carry 3,547 passengers.

During her maiden voyage,
the Titanic struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic ocean just off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. Carrying 2,240 passengers during the voyage, the Titanic did not have enough lifeboat capacity to accommodate all the passengers present. The events that transpired on the night of April 14, 1912 and the tragic loss of life would become one of the most famous events in history.

In remembering the lives lost and the marvel of modern science that the Titanic was, Titanic Universe has announced the release of its new Titanic model for anyone to own. CEO of Titanic Universe Vladimir Gendelman believes that the historical importance of the Titanic as well as remembering those who were lost that night must not be forgotten.

"The sinking of the Titanic is seen as one of the greatest tragedies in history. Remembering those lost in the disaster as well as the engineering feat is something that I have always been interested in. I hope commemorate the event and share with others the fascination that the event has brought me," said Gendelman.

With the 100 year anniversary quickly approaching, Gendelman believes that this model stands for so much more than a work of art, but rather a memorial to a large part of world history. Meticulously crafted with the utmost detail, down to every rivet, the Titanic model is a beautiful piece of modern art that is both eye catching and historically relevant.

"We wanted to make sure that the Titanic model was perfect. We made sure to hire the most talented craftsmen to make sure the job was as historically accurate as possible," said Gendelman.

Titanic universe will release this along with other memorabilia for the 100th anniversary. The site also offers the complete Titanic history as well as other compelling facts surrounding the historic event.
