Allen’s Flower Market, a Long Beach, California-based, family-owned and operated flower shop, announced that it is participating in Small Business Saturday on Saturday, November 28th along with numerous other small businesses throughout the Long Beach area. The Long Beach flower shop will be open during its regular Saturday business hours and will also be accepting holiday orders.
In commenting on Small Business Saturday, Harry Goldman, Owner of Allen’s Flower Market, said, “We have participated in Small Business Saturday since American Express started the event in 2010. It is an excellent opportunity to promote the idea of how shopping local is a great way to stimulate the local community and help sustain small business owners. Goldman added, “We plan to have an open house on Small Business Saturday where customers will be able to see the new holiday collections, including new floral designs, Christmas decorations, and gifts, as well as see demonstrations, try samples from our fresh baked goods collection and more. This is one of our favorite events during the year because we get to interact one-on-one with old and new customers.”
The Long Beach Small Business Saturday will include numerous shopping districts in the city, including Downtown Long Beach and the waterfront area. These areas will have special events, including food and music as well as local arts and crafts vendors to further encourage shopping locally and small.
