Come out to Barnes and Noble on Sunday, April 16th 2016 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and support your local book-lovers. The Bay Shore Barnes and Noble in Gardiner Manor Mall will be hosting a joint fundraising event in support of the Bay Shore High School Arts Educational Fund, as well as the Long Island Authors Group. Proceeds from this event will be divided between the two.
Enjoy an educational day at Barnes and Noble. Meet and greet with many local Long Island authors who specialize in a variety of genres including: children’s books, non-fiction, sci-fi, psychology, poetry, and more. Actively discuss with authors about the book-writing process from start to publish, including their development of plot, theme, setting, and characters. Authors will be selling their hand-crafted books throughout the day. Additionally, browse through all the books and purchase a gift for your mom for the upcoming Mother’s Day. Items include Vera Bradley merchandise, toys, costumes, novelty candles, soaps and more.
Take part in the in-store full-service Starbucks, as well as a delectable cheesecake sampling. Join the event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for a special performance from the Bay Shore High School students.
Be a part of the fun and learn about the inner workings of the writer with The Long Island Writer’s Group, a public charity with a mission to encourage, support, and promote authorship in the Long Island area and across the U.S. Join us Sunday, April 16th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bay Shore Barnes and Noble in Gardiner Mall.
