The 42nd Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend is sure to be a memorable one. This year is the 40th and FINAL Pro/Celebrity race. The Pro/Celebrity race pits celebrities against professional racers to raise money for “Racing for Kids”, a national fund-raising program benefiting children’s hospitals in Long Beach and Orange County. In this year’s race, actors Sean Patrick Flanery, Frankie Muniz, Brian Austin Green and last year’s overall winner, Alfonso Ribeiro, are among the 21 participants from film, television and sports, who will return to compete. In fact, 19 of the 21 drivers of this year’s race are past winners back for one last chance at victory lane. As part of the opening ceremony of both the Pro/Celebrity race and the Grand Prix on Sunday, April 17th, Team Fastrax™ will be performing amazing and patriotic aerial displays with their large 2,000 sq. ft. American flag and red, white and blue streamers.
John Hart, owner of Start Skydiving, and member of Team Fastrax™, said “We are honored to be performing our patriotic American Flag skydive at the 42nd Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend. Racing for Kids is a wonderful cause and the energy and excitement of this weekend’s races are unlike any others.”
According to the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach website, this three-day weekend event will feature multiple races, including the MSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Motegi Racing Super Drift Challenge, Pirelli World Challenge, and SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks.
