All of our 2016 summer courses qualify towards the Servants’ Preparation Program. Classes offered this summer include:
COP 2990 Coptic Language I (Sahidic) with Dr. Mark Moussa (live instruction at CST and online) on TUESDAYS from 6:00-9:00pm. This course will introduce students to the basics of reading Coptic (Sahidic dialect). No prior knowledge of the ancient Egyptian language or Greek is required.
COP 3065 Introduction to Orthodox Spirituality with Fr. Kyrillos Ibrahim (online only). This is an introduction to the rich spiritual tradition of Orthodox Christianity. The various dimensions of spirituality in the Scriptures, the Church Fathers, the Desert Fathers and modern spiritual writers will be examined.
COP 3095 Orthodox Approach to Drug Addiction with Dr. Michael Hanna on SUNDAYS, 6:00-9:00pm (live instruction at CST and online). Provides a biblical, psychological, sociological, and patristic approach to counseling those afflicted with various addictions. This course will start on Sunday, June 12, 2016.
