The GEICO 500 is a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race held at the Talladega Superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama. Defending race winner Dale Earnhardt Jr. will battle it out with Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick and all of the stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. As part of the opening ceremony, Team Fastrax™ will be performing an amazing patriotic display with their 2,000 sq. ft. American Flag and red white and blue streamers.

According to their website, the action at Talladega kicks off on Friday with practice sessions for the Sparks Energy 300 and GEICO 500, as well as practice, qualifying and the drop of the green flag for the General Tire 200 at 5 p.m. CDT. Saturday’s schedule includes qualifying for the GEICO 500 as well as time trials and the start of the Sparks Energy 300 at 2 p.m. CDT. Later that evening, Big & Rich featuring Cowboy Troy, will headline the traditional Infield Concert. Country Music’s best-kept secret, Eric Lee Beddingfield, is set to open the event at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free with a GEICO 500 ticket. Festivities will start at approximately 7:30 PM as Eric Lee Beddingfield kicks off the party, followed by Big & Rich with special guest Cowboy Troy at approximately 9:00 PM.
