Brad Pitt is currently under investigation for child abuse by the Department of Child and Family Services for an incident regarding a child on a private flight from Europe to LA.
Armand Montiel who serves as the public affairs director for the Department stated that while the investigation was ongoing, the DCFS couldn’t confirm nor deny any wrongdoings until all of the facts had been attained. A source close to the LAPD has also stated at this time that there are no current investigations in to Brad Pitt or his family actions. The couple which officially split this past Monday had been speculated to have been under tension in their relationship for some time, however the official divorce papers were filed by Angelina Jolie at the start of the week. In these papers, Angelina requested full custody of the children, only allowing visitation rights to Brad Pitt.
The incident which reportedly occurred on September 14th, quickly followed with Angelina's divorce papers. The complaint which states that Brad Pitt became exceedingly drunk and "went wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids," which eyewitnesses claim he continued ranting on the tarmac once the plane had landed. Sources close to the couple say that Brad is cooperating fully, saying that he "will continue to do what's in the best interest of the children. Brad is most concerned about his children and the best thing for them is to keep the situation private."
Whether that future contains the legal guardian distinction of his children remains to be seen. "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids," said Brad Pitt, "I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
