Spike’s K9 Fund “Vest Fest” is a special event held on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 at the Moerlein Lager House in Cincinnati, to recognize the vesting of recent Ohio k9’s with their sponsors. The event is open to the public, and will include live music, police K9 demonstrations, a silent auction, pet portrait photography, and family friendly activities. To kick off the event, Friday at the Middletown Regional Airport, Team Fastrax™ will provide two tandem skydives for Officer John Neal, a 13 year Cincinnati PD SWAT member and 16 year K9 Officer, and for Officer Candace Jones from the Middletown Police. Team Fastrax™ will also perform another jump on Saturday at the Vest Fest landing on the Schmidlapp Event Lawn. The skydiver will be trailing a 1,100 square foot American Flag and will provide helmet pictures and video for news outlets.
Spike's K9 Fund was founded by Veteran Navy SEAL/K9 handler Jimmy Hatch. Their mission is to provide ballistic vests and equipment for the protection and training of law enforcement K9s, as well as funding medical care for working dogs injured in the line of duty.
The VEST FEST 2016 Main Event will take place on Saturday, October 22 from 4:009:00 pm at the Moerlein Lager House/Schmidlapp Event Lawn, 115 Joe Nuxhall Way, Cincinnati, OH.
