Jay Arthur, President and founder of KnowWare International and developer of QI Macros for Excel, is proud to announce its 20th anniversary in 2017.

Twenty years ago, Jay Arthur left “Baby Bell,” U.S. West, to become a quality improvement consultant. He knew he needed some tools to create control charts, Pareto charts and histograms, so he started experimenting with Excel 97 in Windows 95. Jay discovered a way to program Excel to create the charts his clients needed: QI Macros was born!

Jay designed QI Macros, an innovative user-friendly software that allows users access to the tools they need without learning formulas or becoming statisticians. QI Macros supports more than 100,000 satisfied users in more than 80 countries.
