Professional Wrestler Chris Benoit Found Dead
Chris Benoit, a former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) heavyweight champion, was found dead inside his Fayetteville, Georgia home on Monday. Benoit’s wife and seven-year-old son were also found dead shortly after 2:00 p.m.
Police have not released any details about the scene but are investigating the deaths as homicides.
Born in Montreal, Canada Benoit made had stints in the New Japan Pro Wrestling, WCW, Extreme Championship Wrestling and eventually the WWE where he won several titles including World Tag Team Championships with Chris Jericho and Edge and the World Heavyweight Championship after beating Triple H in 2004.
Chris Benoit was 40-years-old.
