Katherine Heigl and rocker Josh Kelley makes wedding plans

“Grey’s Anatomy” star Katherine Heigl is getting married to Josh Kelley two days before Christmas. The couple met in 2005 when Heigl landed a role in his music video “Only You.”

Friends of the actress say she chose the date because she would be on break from shooting the medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy” and she would have time to plan for the wedding and get use to being married.

Life & Style magazine reports a Heigl insider says “She'll be in the middle of a holiday break for her show, and she'll still have enough time after for a short honeymoon. Everyone is already so full of cheer just before Christmas, so to throw in a wedding at that time--she just loved the idea.”

The insider went on to say that Heigl wants to be married on her property in Utah under a “snow-covered tent” because she wanted the ceremony to feel “down-to-earth, natural and beautiful.” The insider says Heigl’s dress will be “upscale” because she also wants “glamour.”
