Rosie to Britney: “I love you, kid”

Rosie O’Donnell sent a video message to Britney Spears saying she is excited that Spears is to be apart of Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” tour that helps raise money for gay and lesbian organizations. Cyndi Lauper shows have often featured Rosie on the drums.

O’Donnell told Spears on the video: "Brit, if you're watching, honey, you and me – we're gonna share, like, a backstage moment, 'cause I love you, kid!"

Spears plans to join the tour on June 30 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. Lauper, Erasure, Debbie Harry, The Dresden Dolls, The MisShapes will be performing. O’Donnell is also going to perform a stand-up routine.

“If its happening, I’m thrilled because I enjoy Britney,” O’Donnell says of Britney joining the concert.

Spears, 25, has also posted a message on her website but no one seems to know the meaning. It reads: “Mother to Grandmother, and my my, you’re grand.”
