QI Macros® Awards 100th Free Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification for Veterans

November, 2017 - – In 2015, KnowWare International Inc. began to offer a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training and certification program free of charge for both active-duty and retired U.S. military personnel. This month, KnowWare International proudly announces that 100 veterans have taken advantage of this offer, completed the program, and received their Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification.

In this program, students learn how to solve problems involving unnecessary and preventable delays, defects and deviation using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) process. Students complete over eight hours of online video training, case studies, and exercises to master the Magnificent Seven Tools of Lean Six Sigma, familiarizing the participants with tools that will help identify and solve over 90% of the problems facing service, manufacturing and healthcare businesses.

After completing the video training and exercises, participants can complete the final exam for certification online. While there is normally a $97 fee to cover administrative costs for certification, KnowWare International waives this certification fee for Veterans and active-duty and retired Military personnel. This free program for veterans, now in its third year, remains in effect.

Since it’s difficult, if not impossible, to do Six Sigma projects without software, participants are able to download a 30-day trial of QI Macros® SPC Software which works in Excel 2007-2016 in Windows 7, 8, 10 and Mac OSX.
