Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) rose 1.50% to $196.93 on high volume. Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) jumped 1% to $538.67 on moderate volume.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) shares gained 1.33% t $28.09, Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) surged 1.70% to $48.38 on high volume.
Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) and Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE:JNPR) both moved up over 1%.
On the other hand, Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS) plunged 8.70% to $15.96 after its fiscal third-quarter loss narrowed following large prior-year charges, but the videogame maker provided a worse-than-expected outlook for its current quarter and fiscal year.
