Ron Paul’s Attempt To Educate Rudy Giuliani

Ron Paul believes that it is the US Foreign Policy and the first Gulf War that was instrumental in 9/11 while Rudy Giuliani contends that it was not.

Ron Paul said that America has been attacking Iraq for 10 years and the American politicians did not under the Middle East politics. He further added that the US was in the midst of building an embassy and 14 permanent bases in Iraq, and wanted to know how America would feel if China did the same in the US or in the Gulf of Mexico.

Giuliani contends that Paul is being incongruous about the entire issue. He felt that Paul was insinuating that the 9/11 attacks took place because America invited it. Giuliani wanted Paul to retract his statement.

In order to prove his claim, Paul published a press release with a passage from the 9/11 Commission Report and wondered whether Giuliani had bothered to read the report.

However, Giuliani has refused to back down even after this and thinks that Paul’s statements were incongruous. He said that there were many theories floating around about 9/11 but hearing a fellow Republican say something like this was very disappointing.

This incident took place during the Republican debate organized by Fox News channel on May 15, 2007 and a week after the debate.

In this war of words between Ron Paul and Rudy Giuliani, it will be interesting to see who ends up being the eventual winner.
