Bruce Willis Returns as John McClane in “Live Free or Die Hard”
Bruce Willis will return to the big screen today in the fourth installment of the ‘Die Hard’ franchise as “Live Free or Die Hard” opens in North American theaters.
This time around Willis, who portrays the New York City police detective John McClane, takes on a terrorist organization that is plotting to shut down the computer and technological backbone of the United States economy thus sending the world into chaos.
Of course nobody would believe McClane, the former chain-smoking heavy drinker, would be an internet savvy hacker so he recruits a misguided tech expert in Matt Farrell, played by Justin Long, to help with the mission.
Once again the film includes enough impossible scenes and endless ammunition that the moviegoer gives up thinking about reality and just accepts the action for what it is, pure entertainment.
It has been nearly twenty years since Bruce Willis appeared in the original ‘Die Hard’ and after all this time he’s still the one man that can save the world from sure destruction. Enjoy.
