More Than 190,000 Pounds Of Tyson Chicken Fritters Recalled Due To Contamination

Tyson Foods, Inc., has recalled more than 190,000 pounds of Tyson Fully Cooked, Whole Grain Golden Crispy Chicken Chunk Fritters. This particular product is not sold in retail grocery stores, however, but is distributed nationwide to food-service customers, including schools. The chicken ay be contained with hard plastic the company said in a statement.

Three complaints were sent to Tyson Foods from schools about foreign material in the Food Product according to the US Department of Agriculture, however, at the time of publication, there have been no reports of injury or illness linked to eating the contaminated fritters.

The chicken fritters were not part of the National School Lunch Program and were purchased independently by individual schools.
