Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant could miss this weekend’s All-Star Game in Dallas due a sore left ankle that has sidelined him for the last two regular season games.
Bryant has said he can’t push off his left foot and he won’t take the court unless he is healthy. That could leave him on the bench for Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz as well. Lakers trainer Gary Vitti wants Bryant to rest through the weekend but the NBA’s number four scorer has said if he felt healthy he would play.
Lakers coach Phil Jackson has expressed some hope that Bryant could actually play against the Jazz. An MRI on Monday showed no damage to the ankle outside of the sprain, giving Bryant the same hope Jackson expressed.
