History Shows Ron Paul's 1999 Court Case Not a Frivolous Lawsuit

Ron Paul has   been ahead of the  curve with respect to America's foreign policy. In 1999, he filed a lawsuit against the war in Yugoslavia on June 8, 1999. In the lawsuit, he along with 30 other US Representatives claimed that the United States did not abide by the Constitution with its military strikes in Yugoslavia.

The judge in the case threw it out, to which Ron Paul responded, "It is a shame the judge has rejected his Constitutional obligation  to  hear the merits of the case".

Very few people in the United States had much of an opinion of the Yugoslavia encounter because it was short-lived yet Ron Paul had the foresight to attack it with a lawsuit. Unfortunately for him, there is a cost to being ahead of your time.

In 2007, Ron Paul would have much more success if he were to fight against the Iraq war. Unfortunately there is precendence and a Congress that is funding the war that goes against Ron Paul.

By being against something before it is popular to be against it does you no good. It is like Dennis Kucinich in the 2004 election.
