The American Cornhole Organization, the ACO, in its 18th Season of presenting cornhole tournaments around the Nation, hosted its 5th consecutive Major cornhole tournament in Panama City Beach, Florida in Ootober of this year.
American Cornhole has scheduled 35 Majors to be played across the United States in Season 18 and Panama City Beach is one of the stops. In addition to the Major, the ACO has added the ACO Pro Series to 10 of those 35 Majors creating additional tournament excitement. Panama City Beach was fortunate to have one of those ACO Pro Series tournaments at its October weekend event.
With the ACO Pro Series, the Pros compete in a Friday "Frame Game" to qualify in a bracket of 16 for the pro series tournament. On Saturday, atheletes from all ages and skill levels competed in the Major series with singles and doubles events.
"Well, this particular tournament, because we have been back for five years in a row, we see new faces, local faces, more faces and from Florida so they can come in and find out more about how they can get connected to groups that they play with and groups that litterally become your family," ACO announcer Michael Fin Walter said. "If you look around here and you see all the chairs and setups. It really is a family atmosphere where they come in and they come to see each other as much as they do."
