AAU and ACO Team Up for the ACO/AAU Junior World Championships of Cornhole in Kentucky

Since 1888, the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) has been nurturing champions, and now we’re partnering with the American Cornhole Organization (ACO) to continue that legacy. This summer, the AAU and ACO are thrilled to present the World Championships of Cornhole for youth athletes.

On July 19 and 20, the AAU/ACO Junior World Championships of Cornhole will take place at the Owensboro Convention Center in Kentucky. This event offers young athletes the chance to elevate their cornhole skills and compete at a higher level. FREE admission for visitors

Participants, both boys and girls, can compete to earn an ACO World Ranking and vie for an AAU/ACO world title. Athletes will be categorized by age groups: 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U. The event will feature a Singles tournament, Doubles Tier 1 and Tier 2 tournaments, and a Quads tournament. Winners will receive medals, jerseys, and ribbons.

Additionally, one standout player from each division will earn a custom award for the best overall performance across all three tournaments (Singles, Doubles, and Quads). The competition kicks off on Friday, July 19, with the Singles tournament's round-robin play in the morning. In the afternoon, the top 16 teams in Doubles Tier 1 and Tier 2 will engage in double elimination. The evening will feature a Quads double-elimination tournament, where a Tier 1 team will be randomly paired with a Tier 2 team. Champions will be crowned, and a special challenge will be revealed on Saturday, July 20.
