Britney Spears suffered yet another setback in her plans to reestablish her music career when Cyndi Lauper pulled the plug on the “Toxic” performer after finding out the 25-year-old wanted to lip synch her performance during the ‘True Colors’ tour.
Lauper, who launched the ‘True Colors’ tour earlier this month, has reportedly told Spears not to bother showing up for the tours final show in Los Angeles if she’s going to lip synch.
Most of Spears’ live performances have concentrated on her dancing moves rather than her actual singing.
Cyndi Lauper launched the ‘True Colors’ tour in support of the Human Rights Campaign and according to Lauper, “we should all have the right to live with the same dignity, opportunity & safety. It shouldn’t matter what anyone’s sexual orientation is.”
Among the performers that have hit the stage during the month long tour are The Dresden Dolls, Erasure, Debbie Harry, The Misshapes, The Gossips, and the Indigo Girls.
