“Transformers” Premiers in South Korea

The highly anticipated film “Transformers” hit screens in South Korea on Thursday and the response for the Michael Bay directed flick has dominated the online reservation bookings for the country’s theaters.

Grabbing more than 80 percent of all advanced ticket purchase through online bookings, “Transformers” is expected to sweep across Asia with the same positive response.

Starring Josh Duhamel, star of “Win a Date with Tad Hamilton” and “Turistas”, Shia LaBeouf, star of “A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints” and “Disturbia” and breakout actress Megan Fox, “Transformers” opens across the United States on Tuesday.

Based on the cartoon and toy craze of the 1980s, “Transformers” presents two robot clans that share opposing ideologies. While the Decepticons favor world domination the Autobots look to live in peace with their human neighbors.

Produced by Steven Spielberg the sci-fi flick has been lauded for its special effects and intense action.
