‘American Idol’ judge Paula Abdul will be staring in her own reality show “Hey Paula” starting tonight on the Bravo network.
In the first episode viewer’s get a chance to witness the 45-year-old Grammy and Emmy Award-winner break down in tears bemoaning the fact that people don’t treat her “like the gift that I am.”
Abdul also complains that she has “been treated like a piece of dog ...” by the world and feels that nobody fully understands her.
True to their nature the Bravo network opted to go for the reality show and followed Abdul around to give the audience some insight into her daily life. While there are the biting moments of Abdul lashing out and lamenting about her misfortunes there are also moments that display her intense work ethic and determination for perfection.
Speaking about the show Bravo’s director of development and production
Bravo's director of development and production Cori Abraham said “I think that maybe Paula felt as though she wasn't being portrayed accurately by the media, I think she really wanted to show that she has many different sides to her, that she's not just the person you see in the chair behind the Coke glass.”
Bravo will air back-to-back thirty minute episodes tonight of “Hey Paula” beginning at 10:00 p.m. EDT.
