The Memphis Grizzlies wanted Al Horford but seemed happy to land Ohio State point guard Mike Conley Jr. with their number four pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.
Considered the best point guard in the Draft, Conley should immediately pay dividends for the Grizzlies who were in desperate need of a ball handler. Conley proved himself to be a tremendous floor general for the Buckeyes as he led Ohio State to the NCAA championship game before falling to Florida.
