John Edwards Launches New Television Ad In New Hampshire

On June 26, 2007, Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards launched a new television ad in New Hampshire. This is with an effort to improve his standing in the state which will be holding the first primary in the country.

The ad is 30-seconds long and shows Edwards giving a speech on how he would make the United States the country of the 21st century. The ad also features Edwards’ wife, Elizabeth, speaking to an elderly voter.

Elizabeth Edwards has won a lot of support among women for her fight against breast cancer and her appeal. She is one of the most active and prominent spouses on the campaign trail. She will be a reckoning force to contend with when it comes to women voters who Hillary Rodham Clinton is also trying to woo in her endeavour to become the first female president.

Hillary Clinton has a huge lead in the New Hampshire polls followed by Barack Obama and Edwards. Although Edwards is leading the polls in Iowa, his campaign knows that he has to improve his standing in the rest of the country to be taken as a serious contender for the Democratic nomination.

The Edwards campaign has launched the ad in New Hampshire earlier than anticipated but they say that they want to take advantage of the summer months to introduce John Edwards to the voters.

The ad will run on broadcast and cable channels in New Hampshire and surrounding areas.
