2008 Presidential Election Polls

The popularity of polls in political races is not a secret. Candidates use them to determine how they are doing, whether their candidacy is viable, and  whom to appeal to in order to improve their political traction.

The voters use presidential polls to determine which candidates "are the best" and who to vote for. By knowing the front runners, voters feel as though they are not wasting their votes when voting for one of the top candidates. This coupled with the fact that the media points its attention to the front runners makes doing well in the polls important even this early in the presidential campaign.
