4.3 Earthquake Shakes Illinois

A 4.3 magnitude earthquake rattled northern Illinois early Wednesday morning. The quake, located about 50 miles west-northwest of Chicago between the towns of Virgil and Sycamore, struck just before 4 a.m. CT.

The temblor was felt in southern Wisconsin and Iowa. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
