Justine Henin continued her march towards capturing her first Wimbledon title as the Belgium wasted little time in sending Elena Vesnina home 6-1, 6-3 on Friday.
Henin, who lost in last year’s final to Amelie Mauresmo and fell to Venus Williams in the 2001 finals, is looking to complete a career Grand Slam with a Wimbledon title this year.
In a mark of precision Henin won 91 percent of her first serves and 71 percent of her second. She was also able to convert four of her seven break point opportunities while not allowing Vesnina any.
Henin finished with 17 winners in the 52 minute match.
