Britney Spears claims that she was forced into rehab by her mom, manager and soon-to-be ex husband. The “Toxic” singer said she never had a drug or alcohol problem and she never should have gone to rehab. Spears reportedly did admit she had an emotional problem after the birth of her second child.
A source told TMZ.com that her husband Kevin Federline forced Britney into rehab by threatening to battle her in court over the custody of their two children if she did not check herself into rehab.
Spears was then believed to have suffered from post-partum depression and became emotionally unstable from going through divorce. She was further put under pressure by the media constantly following her every move.
Spears and her assistant, Allie Sims, called Promises rehab center and requested her drug and alcohol test. Her rep was sent two reports which showed no alcohol or drug use at all. The first report was dated 15 days after Spears checked in. There is no report that Spears ever tested positive for drug or alcohol use.
The pop princess fired her manager and won’t speak to her mom as a result of her time in rehab. Federline is now questioning whether Spears should be taking care of there kids and has insisted that the issues be handled in a
