Angelina Jolie says Princess Diana inspired her charity work

Angelina Jolie says that the late Princess Diana was the inspiration behind her starting charity work. The actress first became involved in human rights in 2001 after she shot a film in Cambodia, where she adopted her first child.

“Diana inspired me immensely. I followed the work she undertook very closely, especially the issue of landmines,” Jolie said. “It was fascinating that she chose that cause. No matter what I do, I always want to go to refugee camps and meet with the most unfortunate. I have found it a privilege- a way of making me feel alive.”

The ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ star is currently promoting her latest movie ‘A Mighty Heart’ and will begin shooting her next film; a sequel to the movie ‘The Thomas Crown Affair.”
