American Research Group recently polled voters in 3 of the early primary/caucus states: Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. Al Gore was kept off of the polls or if he was included, they have not posted those results on their website.
Al Gore has been garnering support as high as 20% in some national polls, and has been doing quite well in those early states as well. Gore has mentioned on numerous occassions that he has no intentions of running for president so it makes sense to leave him off the polls.
It is doubtful that other pollsters will fall in line because Al Gore still continues to make headlines and many Democrats are still interested and hopeful for a Gore candidacy. But if they did keep him off future polls, Gore will have to act fast to get in the race and maintain media visibility. With his already high poll number, Gore should have all the confidence necessary to run for president - and expect to win.
