Al Gore's Son Arrested - Impact on Presidential Aspirations

Arrested for speeding and use of drugs, Al Gore's son was bailed out of jail by his sister Sarah.

Much speculation has been made as to whether or not Al Gore will run for president in 2008. At USAElectionPolls.com, it can be seen that Gore's poll numbers have gone up about 7% nationally over the past 6 months. But with his son being arrested in California, the dialogue will be taken away from the issues and thrust onto his own son.

Al Gore was the champion of the issues: global warming, health care, and the war in Iraq. He could blow away the field of candidates with his views but if he runs, his son will have effectively taken the discussion away from what the real issues are to Gore's response to the events.
