Alexander McQueen, Iconic UK Fashion Designer, Found Dead in London Home
Fashion icon Alexander McQueen, a former British Designer of the Year and head man at one of the most successful designer lines in the UK, has been found dead in his London home. McQueen was 40-years-old.
In a statement released by his office the stunning news of the designer’s death was relayed, “On behalf of Lee McQueen's (Alexander’s given name) family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home. At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee's family.”
Paramedics were called to McQueen’s home early Thursday morning but he was pronounced dead on the scene. There have been no details concerning the cause of death.
