Lincecum and Giants Go to Arbitration

A salary dispute between two-time NL Cy Young award winner Tim Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants is coming to a head.  The contractual disagreement will most likely be resolved by a panel of arbitrators Friday.

The Giants have offered $8 million in arbitration, while Lincecum is looking for a record $13 million.  As it is, $8 million is the highest amount ever offered to a player in his first year of arbitration.
