Defense Lawyer Representing Mumbai Suspect Shot Dead

An attorney representing one of the three men believed responsible for aiding the Mumbai attackers in 2008 has been shot dead.

According to reports Shahid Azmi was in his office when unknown attackers entered and opened fire, killing him instantly.

Azmi had been representing Fahim Ansari who stands accused of assisting in the attackers in the 2008 attacks that left more than 165 people dead in Mumbai.
