Britney Spears Issues Apology for Attack on Photographer’s Car
In a statement released on her Web site singer Britney Spears expressed regret and issued an apology for her assault on a photographer’s car. In the widely publicized incident Spears hit the vehicle with an umbrella.
While issuing an apology, Spears didn’t appear to take full ownership of the blame, rather she seemed to chalk the incident up to her devotion to acting.
“I apologize to the pap for a stunt that was done 4 months ago regarding an umbrella, I was preparing my character for a roll in a movie where the husband never plays his part so they switch places accidentally. I take all my rolls very seriously and got a little carried away. Unfortunately I didn't get the part.”
The February incident was one in a series that led to her eventual stint in rehab.
