Wimbledon number one seed Justine Henin was sent home on Friday after being stunned by Marion Bartoli 1-6, 7-5, 6-1 at the All England Club.
Despite falling behind a set and being down a break in the second set Bartoli remained confident and kept her Belgian opponent running.
Bartoli, 22, had never made it past the third round a Wimbledon and will be playing in her first Grand Slam final. She reached the fourth round of the 2007 French Open before losing to Jelena Jankovic.
Coming into the 2007 Wimbledon tournament Bartoli carried a No. 20 world ranking. She will now face off against Venus Williams who entered the Grand Slam event ranked No. 31.
