Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. has announced that the deadline for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation shareholders to make merger consideration elections in regards to the proposed merger of BNSF has expired. The consideration election expired on February 10 at 5:00 pm. If the merger is approved during the BSNF shareholders meeting on February 11, Berkshire and BNSF will close the merger on February 12, 2010. The results will be announced on the closing date of the merger.
