Lionel Richie says “I don’t know if I’m ready to be called a grandpa.”
Lionel Richie admits that he is not sure whether daughter Nicole is pregnant or not. The “Simple Life” star sparked rumors that she could be pregnant when she was seen with a “baby bump.”
“Grandpa, man, that’s wild,” Richie told PEOPLE. “I don’t know if I’m going to be a grandpa, I don’t know if I’m ready to be called a grandpa.” He also made fun of himself for not keeping in touch with Nicole saying, “Nicole, baby, call me!”
Although Richie is unsure of Nicole’s reported pregnancy he said that Nicole is “living her life under a microscope, but it’s the kind of life you live at that age.”
The pop legend also told reporters that Nicole is “fabulous” and she keeps apologizing about always being in the news. He also says, “she’s doing exactly what you’re supposed to do… she’s living her life.”
