Two people were killed and several others injured after a small plane crashed into two homes in an Orlando suburb on Tuesday morning. The pilot of the plane had been trying to make an emergency landing after reporting that his cockpit was filling with smoke while en route from Daytona Beach to Lakeland.
The pilot was trying to maneuver the small plane to the Orlando Sanford International Airport but the aircraft crashed just north of the runway.
Reports indicated that two people were killed in the accident but it is yet to be announced if those individuals were inside the plane or on the ground. At least three people were injured including a 10-year-old boy who suffered burns on over 80 percent of his body.
A woman from one of the houses reported that a 4-year-old child was still missing.
